Examine the composition indicated on the package

A tasty and healthy product consists exclusively of milk, salt, heavy cream, sourdough and natural dye.

No vegetable fats, starch, milk powder and flavor enhancers!

The presence of such indicates the low quality of the product, and it is difficult to call it cheese.

Rather, it is a so-called "cheese product" that contains harmful trans fats and dangerous chemical additives. They accumulate on the walls of blood vessels and cause cardiovascular disease, digestive problems and other serious health problems.

Compare cost

Cheese making is a very costly production, and a quality product cannot have a low cost.

Therefore, when buying cheese, you should not save money, but it is better to choose the kind of your favorite delicacy that is more expensive.

Press with fingers

Often, under the guise of cheese, as mentioned above, in fact, they sell a fake surrogate product. It contains cheap vegetable fats.

Such a low-quality product can be identified as follows: cut a piece and press hard on it. Drops of an oily liquid will appear on the surrogate, which indicates the presence of vegetable fats in the composition.

Real cheese has a pronounced sour taste.

It can also, depending on the variety, be sweet or spicy, but not overly salty or overly sweet.

See how it is stored

You can find out about the quality of already bought cheese at home by cutting it into pieces and leaving it at room temperature for a couple of hours. A product made from milk will dry out a little, but the cut will remain dry and hard. If drops of water appeared on it, you have a surrogate in front of you.

Quality cheese has a moderately yellow color. Too intense indicates the presence of food coloring in the composition. Uneven stripes on the rind indicate that the cheese is underripe.

The presence of symmetrical eyes on the cut is mandatory. Their absence reveals low-quality raw materials with broken production technology.

If the product crumbles, this indicates the presence of vegetable fats, as well as preservatives and stabilizers. Natural is resilient and durable.

Now cheese makers have so many low-quality substitutes in their arsenal that only a company with a reputation can be trusted.

Very vague ways of definition. I just want to remind you that, for example, some types of Adyghe cheese have a very salty taste compared to others. The price is also not always reliable, the product, the implementation period of which is coming to an end, is sometimes sold with very significant discounts.
And so true. I will add: when pressed, not only vegetable fats are released, but the fake cheese itself often has the consistency of plasticine, you can mold something from its piece, it keeps its shape perfectly.
