How to check perfume by batch code

How to check perfume by barcode

What data can be found by decoding the EAN-13 barcode:
- country of origin;

Scanners are used to obtain extended information. Without using a special device, you can check the barcode of perfumes online or manually. Mobile applications with a scanner and various sites are used, in the field of which you need to enter a digital combination.

The manual technique is simple, consider it using the example of code 7290010159253:
- We add together all even positions, and multiply the resulting amount by 3: (2+0+1+1+9+5) ×3=18×3=54.
- We add odd numbers to each other, excluding the last digit: 7+9+0+0+5+2=23.
- We add the two obtained values: 54+23=77. The last digit is taken into account - 7.
- Subtract 7 from 10: 10-7=3.
- We check the equality of the value with the check digit: 3=3.
The coincidence of the calculated digit with the control indicates the authenticity of the barcode. The manual method is not a 100% proof of originality, as counterfeit manufacturers can come up with suitable combinations. The discrepancy between the calculated digit of the control indicates an obvious fake.

What is the shelf life of perfume
Under the storage conditions recommended by the manufacturer, unopened perfumes and cosmetics can be stored for up to 3 years. The more natural the composition, the shorter the shelf life. The batch code contains genuine consumer information.
After opening, the period decreases, this information is usually indicated on the package. The period of possible use after opening the product is also shown as an image of an ajar cap with the inscription 6M, 8M.

Никаких дорогостоящих защитных маркировок нет, никаких голограмм, ультрафиолетовых меток и т.д, соответственно и подделку определить невозможно, если она качественно сделана.
